An independent information professional, I am principal consultant at Crosby Group Consulting. I have deep knowledge in Knowledge Management, Information Management and Library Management. I focus on the client needs (user experience or UX) and process improvement. As a former law firm library manager, many of my clients are in the legal field. I also work on projects for organizations in related areas such as professional associations, regulatory bodies, financial institutions and government.

I have served as president of both the Canadian Association of Law Libraries (CALL/ACBD) and the Toronto Association of Law Libraries (TALL). I serve on the Executive Board of CALL/ACBD as Past President until May 2019.

I’m also a student in the Suffolk University Law School continuing education certificate program Legal Innovation and Technology where I am no doubt behind on my classwork!

Connie Crosby on road bike in full cycling gear
Connie at Bike Rally 2015 – in Quebec

When not working or learning, I go on epic adventures. Currently I’m training to ride my third Friends for Life Bike Rally, cycling from Toronto to Montreal (100 km/60 miles a day over 6 days!) in August 2019. It is the major fundraising event for the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation (PWA), the largest organization in Canada providing support to people living with HIV and AIDS. It’s an amazing, supportive community that stays engaged all year round. This will be my third time riding, and I have also volunteered as road safety crew for the past 2 years. Check out my fundraising page.

I write, blog and speak on a range of topics. A lifelong learner, I look forward to sharing what I am learning with you on this blog!
